Manipulating the
Control & Guide Systems
Understanding
the former, namely that a pilgrim’s state (and therefore output, and
therefore output payoff) depends on 1.
the quality of the inputted datum (more specifically stated, the
quality of her contact) 2.
the quality (i.e. as structural refinement) of her internal Guide
& Control System, 3.
the data previously inputted (i.e. her memory) 4.
her virtual (local, i.e. personal) goal (i.e. @1 contact) 5.
and her actual contact (i.e. reality test), it becomes clear that the
smart pilgrim (for instance, the yogini, football player or housewife) can
not only manipulate her output (hence her (differential) state = self) by deliberately
manipulating the 5 dependencies of her internal Control & Guide systems,
thereby achieving perfection (i.e. an enstasy)
with alternate (i.e. personally desirable) data content. She can also retain
(the state of) perfection (and its pay-off, happiness, joy or rapture) by
avoiding output (i.e. contact) altogether, thus remaining fully
self-contained, i.e. psychotic (the preferred choice of mystics). And she
can manipulate her immediate external environment (i.e. change her contact
route) so that each of her virtually perfect outputs achieves whole (i.e.
unitised, hence perfect) contact, thereby making her actually (i.e. really)
perfect (the preferred choice of religious and political fanatics). Likewise, an
alternate pilgrim (for instance, a parent, religious or political leader
acting as an external Control & Guide System) can become perfect or
retain actual perfection (i.e. absolute wholeness, and the happiness, joy or
rapture the experience of completeness brings) by manipulating the four (plus
1) Control & Guide dependencies of the pilgrim to suit her needs. The Control
& Guide Systems of the ‘other’ (pilgrim, or collective or community of
pilgrims) can make or break the pilgrim’s state of perfection by deliberately
altering (i.e. degrading, making incomplete or falsifying) her 4 + 1
dependencies.
