How to create a True Self for profit and pleasure Introduction: You are your
true self right now. You created your true self by making countless decisions
which you believed were ‘best’ for you. And you created your true self by failing
to make countless decisions which were then made for you by others, albeit in
their ‘best’ interest. When someone says, “I want to find (or be) my true
self” (or potential), what she really means to say is, “I want to experience
maximum profit, for instance, realness, meaningfulness/truth, satisfaction,
pleasure or joy, from being wholly who I am.” The fact is, you are your
difference (hence unique self) made real/true by being touched. Obviously,
difference can’t be found. It has to be created. Only when your difference
(i.e. your self) is activated @100% (i.e. as a whole) do you experience it as
absolutely true, because absolutely real. Creating difference and applying it
wholly to become whole, real and true is the daily pilgrimage. Steps ·
Experience your self to be the whole affect of all the functions you
perform. ·
Access a given, though ineffectual function (i.e. a sub-self) from
within. ·
Or, invent a new, i.e. a different function (i.e. a new sub-self). ·
Superimpose the selected function (i.e. sub-self) as primary
function, i.e. as new self. ·
Re-configure all your other functions to support your (new) self. ·
Practice your (new) self to perfection, i.e. to @100% potential. ·
Activate your (new) self @100%, thereby making it true/real. ·
Wholly experience your (new) self @100%. ·
Enjoy the profit/reward of full achievement of potential, e.g.
rapturous joy. ·
(Optional) Make your (new) self an absolute reality (i.e. absolutely
true/real) by applying it @100% externally. ·
Repeat steps 5 & 6. Tips ·
The true pilgrim, i.e. the one seeking to become true, never ever
let’s go of her goal, day or night. ·
Use all the help you can get. Accept it gratefully. Forget your
pride. ·
Set a time limit for achievement. Warnings ·
Take care to change slowly into your true self. Rapid change shocks
those around you, and who respond with frustration, envy, anger and so on. ·
Don’t overstretch your capacities. Take the Middle Way suggested by
the Buddha. Things
you’ll need ü
Extreme motivation ü
No fear ü
Serious, persistent effort
