The hindsight of wisdom
Wisdom is
not alone knowledge; wisdom is also the path to that knowledge. More
precisely stated, wisdom is a path perfected, that is to say, ended. The clever pilgrim
starts at the end, that is to say, at (or as) her goal, and looks back.
Looking back she sees first the general direction to her goal, then an actual
path to it. Every time
she ‘stands’ in/as her goal, the path to it becomes more clearly defined. By
regularly standing in/as her goal she (that is to say, her goal) adjusts her
path. The true
pilgrim actually travels, indeed is drawn backwards into her goal. If she has
no goal she gets lost.
